Intel’s DC S3500 Enterprise Solid State drive was supposed to launch during this quarter, but it seems that the Japanese can get their hands on it right as it has spotted on their retailer’s store shelves and being put for sale from now.
The next generation solid state drive, codenamed ‘Wolfville’, uses 20nm MLC flash NAND which is said to do 450MB/Sec Sequential read and 400MB/Sec Sequential Write with 4K random read speed of 72,000 IOPS.
The Enterprise Series SSD comes with the capacity variant of 120GB, 160GB, 300GB and 480GB with total write endurance capacity of 70TB, 100TB, 170TB and 275TB. It is also being said that there will be 8 capacity between 80GB to 800GB, but as of now 4 capacity drives are confirmed.
The 120GB version is said to come with the price tag of ¥ 15,800/$ 155, whereas the 480GB variant comes with a price tag of ¥ 64,800/$ 633.
